Cassius Columbus was born on February 23rd, 1839 in Pike Co., MO. Cassius Columbus' father was James Thomas Eastin and his mother was Theodotia South. His paternal grandparents were John+ Eastin and Mary Elender+ Orchard. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Rufus, Brutus, James Thomas, Octavius, Oscar, John Sullivan, Roland Hoy, Elizabeth, Eleanor Orchard, Judith and Parthenia.
