Mauger, known as "le jeune", "the Younger", was born about 1000 in St. Clair-sur-Elle, Manche, Normandy, France.  "le jeune", "the Younger"'s father was Duke Richard ("the Good") de Normandy II and his mother was Princess Judith of Brittany.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Richard ("the Fearless", "Sans Peur") I of Normandy and Gunnora Haraldsdottir de Crepon; his maternal grandparents were Duke Conan ("the Crooked") de Bretagne I and Ermengarde de Anjou. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William Poincius, Richard, "the Devil", "the Magnificent", William, Eleanor, Alice, Emme and Adelais Judith. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Adela.  He died in St. Clair-sur-Elle, Manche, Normandy, France.

‌"le jeune", "the Younger" and Agnes were married in a religious ceremony in 1012.  They had two sons named Waldron and Hubert.
