Robert, known as "Blanchmains", was born in 1130 in Beaumont, France.  "Blanchmains"'s father was Robert ("Bossu") de Beaumont and his mother is Amice de Gael.  His paternal grandparents were Robert de Beaumont of Meulan and Elizabeth de Crepi; his maternal grandfather is Earl Ralph de Gael of Norfolk and his maternal grandmother was Emma de Breteuil. He had four sisters named Isabel, Margaret, "de Beaumont" and Emma.  He died at the age of 60 on August 31st, 1190 in Durazzo Provence, West Albania.


"Blanchmains"'s family with Petronella de Grantmesnil

‌"Blanchmains" and Petronella were married in a religious ceremony about 1155.  They had two daughters named Amice and Margaret.
