Liutgard was born about 0931 in Saxony, Germany.  Liutgard's father was Emperor Otto ("the Great") I of Germany and her mother was Princess Eadgyth of England.  Her paternal grandparents were Emperor Henry ("the Fowler") I and Saint Matilda of Ringelheim; her maternal grandparents were King Edward ("the Elder") d'Angleterre I of England and Aelflaeda de Bernicie. She had two sisters named Wichberg and Richilde.  She was the youngest of the three children. She had a half-brother named Otto.  She died on November 18th, 0953.


Liutgard's family with Conrad of Lotharingia

‌Liutgard and Conrad were married in a religious ceremony in 0947.  They had a son named Otto.
