Sally was born about 1841 in Shelbyville. In. Sally's father was James B. Hayes ,Jr and her mother was Elizabeth"Betsy" Wheeler. Her paternal grandparents were James B. Hayes , Sr and Sarah; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin"Mine" Wheeler and Sarah Barlow. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Martin Van Buren, James K Polk, John Cole, Ellendor Bessie, Judith Julia B., Angelina Geneva and Mary Elizabeth. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Benjamin "Frank" Franklin and Nancy "Amanda". She died about 1841 in Shelby Co, in.-
