Judith Julia B. Hayes 
Judith Julia B. was born on March 6th, 1836 in Shelbyville, Shelby Co, Ind. Judith Julia B.'s father was James B. Hayes ,Jr and her mother was Elizabeth"Betsy" Wheeler. Her paternal grandparents were James B. Hayes , Sr and Sarah; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin"Mine" Wheeler and Sarah Barlow. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Martin Van Buren, James K Polk, John Cole, Ellendor Bessie, Sally, Angelina Geneva and Mary Elizabeth. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Benjamin "Frank" Franklin and Nancy "Amanda". She died about January 23rd, 1881 in Stockton, San Joaquin Co, California. She was buried on January 25th, 1881 in Rural Cemetery, Stockton, Ca.1 General Notes
Went to Calif in 1852 or 1854 with Aunt Dicey Wheeler Gray & sisterElendor (18) to find their Father, James Hayes. Judith married JamesHogan and lived in Healdsburg & Stocton, Calif. They had 7 children.
Mate's Family History says, "Howard, the oldest, married and hadtwo daughters. He was a very wealthy broker.
LuLu, the second child, was born on April 5, 1858. she married aMr. Wasley and lived for many years in Oroville, California. She has twochildren. Vera Davis, who at present lives in Oroville and Luleta, whowas teaching Kindergarten in Honolulu in 1939. Lulu is a very talentedmusician and up to this time (1940) is using her talent to teach voiceand choral groups.
Lulu's oldest child, a boy who lived only a few minutes, was bornthe evening her mother, Judith, was buried. Her mother had been soanxious to see the baby that they took up the remains of her mother, andburied the baby in her arms.
Three of Aunt Judith's children, Walter, Cora, and Ralph, died earlyin life.
Birdena (Birdie) married Everett W. Hale and they had one child,Ralph. Birdie lived at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco and had manylovely curios in her apartment. Her husband was an importer of dry andfancy goods.
In 1939, Nellie Hogan (do not know her married name) was living inHollywood with her daughter Evelyn who was the wife of Jack Mullhauld, astar of silent movies. Nellie also had a son."
