Her paternal grandparents were Milton Giles and Mary Ladd Majors; her maternal grandfather is James F. McCowen and her maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Manly. She had three brothers and six sisters, named James Milton, Noble M., John Irwin, Mary Elizabeth, Laudie Eldora, Henry Francis, Joe Annie, Rosie Lynn and Lula May. She was the youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 80 on January 17th, 1968 in Temple, Bell, TX.1 General Notes
