Mary Elizabeth Giles 
Mary Elizabeth was born on December 4th, 1868.1 Mary Elizabeth's father was Joseph Milton Giles and her mother was Margaret Clementine McCowen. Her paternal grandparents were Milton Giles and Mary Ladd Majors; her maternal grandfather is James F. McCowen and her maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Manly. She had three brothers and six sisters, named James Milton, Noble M., John Irwin, Laudie Eldora, Henry Francis, Joe Annie, Rosie Lynn, Lula May and Lillian Janice. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 69 on April 25th, 1938.1 General Notes
