James Milton Giles 
James Milton was born on June 13th, 1867.1 James Milton's father was Joseph Milton Giles and his mother was Margaret Clementine McCowen. His paternal grandparents were Milton Giles and Mary Ladd Majors; his maternal grandfather is James F. McCowen and his maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Manly. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Noble M., John Irwin, Mary Elizabeth, Laudie Eldora, Henry Francis, Joe Annie, Rosie Lynn, Lula May and Lillian Janice. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 22 on December 6th, 1889.1 General Notes
