Minerva Straley 
Minerva was born in August 1850 in (Travis) Texas.1 Minerva's father was Joseph Leland Straley and her mother was Sarah Rebecca Clark. Her paternal grandparents were Charles M Straley and Elizabeth McComas. She had six brothers and a sister, named Joseph Leland, Charles C, John Henry, Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Houston, Andrew Jackson and Julia. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 98 in 1948 in Adamsville, Lampasas Co, Texas.1 -
