Mitchell Meadows 
Mitchell was born in 1823 in Rockingham Co., Virginia.1 Mitchell's father was Thomas W. Meadows and his mother was Elizabeth Breeding. His paternal grandparents were James Meadows and Catherine Boswell. He had five brothers and six sisters, named James, Thomas W., Emanuel, William T., Henry, Jane S., Elizabeth, Francis E., Annie, Mary Catherine and Harriett Clementine. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died about 1864. He was buried in Samuels Cemetery, Jollett Hollow, Page Co., Virginia.1 1 General Notes
