Her paternal grandparents were James Meadows and Catherine Boswell. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Mitchell, James, Thomas W., Emanuel, William T., Henry, Jane S., Elizabeth, Francis E., Annie and Harriett Clementine. She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 79 on January 14th, 1917 in Pitzer, Madison Co., Iowa.
