James Meadows 
James was born in October 1760 in Orange Co., Virginia.1 James' father was FRANCIS M. Meadows and his mother was MARY Kesiah Bell. His paternal grandfather was THOMAS Meadows and his paternal grandmother is ANN Bourne; his maternal grandparents were JOHN Bell and HANNAH STOKES. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Francis, Jeremiah Isaac, Jacob, John, Mary and Mollie. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers named Lewis and Isreal. He died at the age of 84 in December 1844 in Rockingham Co., Virginia.1 General Notes
