THOMAS Meadows 
THOMAS was born about 1711 in Essex Co., Virginia.1 THOMAS' father was Thomas Meadows and his mother was ELIZABETH Wood. His paternal grandparents were JOHN MEADOWS and ELIZABETH White; his maternal grandfather is RICHARD WOOD. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Reuben, John, Ambrose, Francis, Rachel, Sarah, Esther and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died in 1776. Thomas Jr. was born before 1726 as he was of legal age in 1745 when he signed as a witness to a sale by his cousin, Susannah Meador. He is listed in the Virigina census of 1810 but not in 1820 You might find out more about Thomas Jr if you search the Rev. War records. He served in the 7th Regiment of the Continental line.
