James Meadows 
James was born in July 1826 in Virginia.1 James' father was Thomas W. Meadows and his mother was Elizabeth Breeding. His paternal grandparents were James Meadows and Catherine Boswell. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Mitchell, Thomas W., Emanuel, William T., Henry, Jane S., Elizabeth, Francis E., Annie, Mary Catherine and Harriett Clementine.
