Edvise Couvillon 
Edvise was born on August 14th, 1828 in Joffrion Lane, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.1 Edvise's father was HYPOLITE Oge Couvillon and her mother was *HELOISE Rabalais. Her paternal grandparents were PIERRE Couvillon and *BRIGETTE Mayeux; her maternal grandparents were Rene Paulin Rabalais and Josephine Celeste Bordelon. She had five brothers and three sisters, named JEROME, Hypolite Oge, Grigoire, Ludger Hypolite, Philogene Anatole, Heloise, Ermantine and Edmonia Herminia. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Olivier, Jean Baptiste, Elphege and Helene. She died at the age of 46 on June 10th, 1875 in Bayou Jacques, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.
