Louis Bouchard 
Louis was born on November 9th, 1712 in Montreal, Canada.1 Louis' father was Orene Bouchard and his mother was Marie Anne Sauvageau. His paternal grandparents were Julien Bouchard and Elizabeth Menard; his maternal grandparents were Rene Dit Maisoneuve Sauvageau and Anne Hubou. He had a sister named Anne. He died at the age of 52 on January 11th, 1765 in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana.1 General Notes

"... it is the same year (1736) that one finds Louis Bouchard dit LaVallee, of Montreal, contracting with the famous merchant\explorer LaVerendreye, for a voyage 'to the west', which meant even beyond Detroit. Nine years later this same Louis Bouchard had arrived in Pointe Coupee, and was living with his wife, their young children, and Pierre LeDoux, his partner."
