His paternal grandparents were Jean Baptiste Rabalais and Marie Magdeleine; his maternal grandparents were Jacques Bellanger and Catherine Garboise. He had a sister named Marie Jeanne. He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-sister named Catherine. He died at the age of 53 in 1789 in Avoyelles Post, Louisiana.1 -
