Margaret was born about 1814 in Tazewell Co., Virginia.1 Margaret's father was RICHARD Patton Bailey and her mother was ISABEL F. Ferguson. Her paternal grandparents were RICHARD Patton Bailey and ELIZABETH Anne Belcher; her maternal grandparents were SAMUEL Ferguson and MARY Jameson. She had six brothers and three sisters, named SAMUEL L., Richard Patton, Jameson Walker, Henry, John, Eli, MARY Elizabeth, Mary Frances and Sarah. She was the second youngest of the ten children. She had two half-brothers named Zachariah Henry and Elijah P.. She died about 1885 in Laddonia, Missouri. She was buried in Kansas.1 1 -
