JOHN Jameson 
JOHN was born about 1680 in Ulster, Co. Galway, No. Ireland.1 JOHN's father was James Jamison and his mother was Margaret Jennings. His paternal grandfather was ALEXANDER Jameson and his paternal grandmother is MARION Anderson. He had four brothers named Thomas, David, James and Robert. John Jameson, of Fredericksville, Albemarle Co., Virginia made a deed
dated, April 22, 1764; (Albemarle Co., D.B. 3, p.426). From John Jameson
of Fredericksville, Albemarle Co., Virginia, conveying for love and
affection, 100 acres to son-in-law, Thomas Craig.
He is called Col. John Jameson and was son of Samuel and Jane Jameson;
(Albemarle Co., W.B.3, p. 45, and W.B. 4, p144) Footnote: Major Andro w
delivered to him - French Indian War in 1760.
James Scotch-Irish progenitor distinguished himself by personal bravery and military prowess when a young man at the Battle of the Boyne and other engagements, attracted the attention of William III who as a reward of merit conferred on him the honorary title of "Sir and Knight", which entitled him to "coat of arms". 23 years later in 1713, James and wife Janet, migrated to North America with their seven children, settling in Lancaster Co., Pa. James died prior to 1743 as his estate was settled in that year, each child receiving its proper share of land in that County.

Thomas was born in Pennsylvania.1 He died on April 6th, 1830 in Madison, Jefferson Co., Indiana.1
