Vielene was born on July 13th, 1851 in Overton, Bradford Co., Pa...1 Vielene's father was Henry Sherman and her mother was Elizabeth Thrasher. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Sherman and Elizabeth Williams. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Nelson, William, John, Moses, Andrew Washington, Edward, Catherine, Loretta, Caroline and Anna. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She had six half-brothers and a half-sister, named George, Daniel, Amos, Henry, Peter, Jacob and Mary. She died about 1852.1 General Notes
