Matilda Maud was born about 1286 in Of, Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.1   Matilda Maud's father was Edmund De Mortimer and her mother was Margaret Fiennes.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger De Mortimer and Maud De Braiose; her maternal grandparents were William De Fiennes and Blanche De Brienne. She had a brother and a sister, named Roger and Isolde Iseude Iswolde.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died on September 18th, 1312 in Alton, Staffordshire, England.  She was buried on October 9th, 1312 in Croxden Abbey, Staffordshire, England.1 1
