Enguerrand was born in 1182 in Boves, Somme, France.1   Enguerrand's father was Raoul De Coucy and his mother was Alix Ou Adélaïde De Dreux.  His paternal grandparents were Enguerrand II De Coucy and Agnes De Beaugency; his maternal grandparents were Robert Count Of Dreux*** and Agnes De Vaudemont. He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas II, Raoul, Robert and Agnes.  He was the oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and six half-sisters, named Gaucher III de, Yolande De, Ade, Isabeau, Agnes, Mahaut and Eléonore.  He died at the age of 60 in 1242.1 


Enguerrand's family with Mary De Montmirel-En-Brie

‌Enguerrand and Mary were married in a religious ceremony about 1210 in Oisy, Aisne, France.1   They had a daughter named Marie.
