Gertrude was born in 1028 in Schweinfury, Bavaria.1 Gertrude's father was Duke Of Saxony Billung Bernard and her mother was Elika Von Schweinfurt. Her paternal grandparents were Duke of Saxony Billung Bernhard and Hildegarde Von Stade; her maternal grandparents were Heinrich Marrave of The Nordgau Schweinfurt and Gerberga Countess of Swabia. She had two brothers named Hermann Of and Ordulf Of. She had two half-sisters named Ida Billung of and Gertrud. She died at the age of 85 on August 4th, 1113.1 General Notes
