Joan was born about 1232 in Of, Derbyshire, England.1   Joan's father was William De Ferrers and her mother was Sibyl Marshall.  Her paternal grandparents were William De Ferrers and Alice De Meschines; her maternal grandparents were William The Protector' Marshall and Isabel Fitzgilbert De Clare. She had two sisters named Maud Matilda and Agnes. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Robert, William, William, Joan, Mary and De Say.  She died about October 1267.1 


Joan's first family with Robert Aguillon

‌Joan and Robert were married in a religious ceremony about 1251.1   They had a daughter named Isabel.


Joan's second family with John de Mohun

They had four sons and a daughter, named John Baron of Dunster, James, Reginald, Robert and Margaret.
