‌Robert Russell and Anselina were married in a religious ceremony on December 4th, 1823 in Edgecombe Co. NC. They had five sons and four daughters, named Joseph James, Benjamin Guilford, Thomas Permenter, Robert Stringer, John Daniel, Keziah Margaret, Elizabeth Catherine, Arretta and Anselina Jane "Lanie".
