John Daniel Braswell 
John Daniel was born on February 17th, 1844 in Edgecombe Co. NC. John Daniel's father was Robert Russell Braswell and his mother was Anselina Stringer. His paternal grandfather was Permentor Braswell; his maternal grandparents were William Stringer and Keziah Pitt. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph James, Benjamin Guilford, Thomas Permenter, Robert Stringer, Keziah Margaret, Elizabeth Catherine, Arretta and Anselina Jane "Lanie". He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 31 on June 29th, 1875.-
