Elizabeth Catherine Braswell 
Elizabeth Catherine was born on January 22nd, 1831 in Edgecombe Co. NC. Elizabeth Catherine's father was Robert Russell Braswell and her mother was Anselina Stringer. Her paternal grandfather was Permentor Braswell; her maternal grandparents were William Stringer and Keziah Pitt. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Joseph James, Benjamin Guilford, Thomas Permenter, Robert Stringer, John Daniel, Keziah Margaret, Arretta and Anselina Jane "Lanie". She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
