Margaret de Clare

Margaret was born in 1293 in Tewkesbury,Gloucestershire,England. Margaret's father was Gilbert "The Red" de Clare Earl of Gloucester and her mother was Joan Plantagenet Princess of England. Her paternal grandparents were Richard de Clare Earl of Gloucester and Maud De Lacy; her maternal grandparents were Edward I, "Longshanks" Plantagenet King of England and Eleanor de Castilla. She had a brother and two sisters, named Gilbert II, Eleanor and Elizabeth. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Thomas, Joan, Isabel and Mary. She died at the age of 49 on April 7th, 1342.
