Sibyl De was born about 1127 in Of,Pembroke,Pembrokeshire,Wales.1 Sibyl De's father was Walter FitzEdward de Salisbury de Evereux and her mother was Sibilla (Maud) de Chaworth. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Of Salisbury and Maud FITZHUBERT; her maternal grandparents were Sir Patrick of Kidwelly de Chaworth and Maud de Hesdin. She had four brothers and a sister, named Patrick, William, Walter Canon of Bradenstoke, William De and Hawise de Salisbury. She was the second youngest of the six children.
