Thaddeus A. was born on November 14th, 1874 in Calhoun Co., AL.1 Thaddeus A.'s father was Napoleon Bonapart Spradley and his mother was Minerva Adalaide Kirby. His paternal grandparents were Michael Decalb Charles Spradley and Elizabeth Boone; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Luther Kirby and Malinda Melinda Taylor. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph Kirk, Taylor DeKalb, Lewis Napoleon, Flint Elmer, Panora, Mary, Rusia Elizabeth and Melinda Naomie. He was the third oldest of the nine children.
