Taylor DeKalb was born on December 6th, 1879 in Calhoun Co., AL.1 Taylor DeKalb's father was Napoleon Bonapart Spradley and his mother was Minerva Adalaide Kirby. His paternal grandparents were Michael Decalb Charles Spradley and Elizabeth Boone; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Luther Kirby and Malinda Melinda Taylor. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph Kirk, Thaddeus A., Lewis Napoleon, Flint Elmer, Panora, Mary, Rusia Elizabeth and Melinda Naomie. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 75 on November 19th, 1955 in Tuscaloosa Co., AL.1 -
