Samuel Spradley 
Samuel was born in 1824 in Camden, Kershaw Co., SC.1 Samuel's father was Bryant A. Spradley and his mother was Frances Payne. His paternal grandparents were James, Sr. Spradley and Mary Manning; his maternal grandparents were John Payne and Sarah Shiver. He had six brothers and four sisters, named James Stephen, John William, Manning C., Bryant Eugene, William, Thomas Harrison, Martha A., Dorcas, Mary Elizabeth and Mahaza Ellen. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 51 in 1875 in Crenshaw Co., AL.1 General Notes
