Martha A. Spradley 
Martha A. was born in 1818 in Camden, Kershaw Co., SC.1 Martha A.'s father was Bryant A. Spradley and her mother was Frances Payne. Her paternal grandparents were James, Sr. Spradley and Mary Manning; her maternal grandparents were John Payne and Sarah Shiver. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named James Stephen, John William, Samuel, Manning C., Bryant Eugene, William, Thomas Harrison, Dorcas, Mary Elizabeth and Mahaza Ellen. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 32 in 1850 in Lowndes Co., AL.1 General Notes

Records 17 Aug 1793 - Know all men, I, MARTHA SPRADLING, do hereby
acknowledge give and release my right of dowry or alimony of WILLIAM
HARDAGE of Fairfield Co. by my free consent do not allow that I have not
had any right or claim on the said HARDGAGE from 20 Mar 1773, I do not
believe I ever had any claim according to law hereby announce and revote
all bargain or contracts. Wit: ALLEN PERRY signed 14 Jun 1793, he saw
