Marilda was born about 1836 in Montgomery Co., AL.1 Marilda's father was Smith Summerlin and her mother was Martha A. Spradley. Her maternal grandparents were Bryant A. Spradley and Frances Payne. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William E., Columbus M., Bryant J., Louisa E., Jane and Rachel M.. She was the oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Thomas Lawrence, Sarah Malinda, Barbara Ann Lucinda Elizabeth and Georgana Frances Victoria. She died in AL.1 -
