Martha Jane Spradley 
Martha Jane was born on December 15th, 1849 in Montgomery Co., AL.1 Martha Jane's father was Samuel Spradley and her mother was Martha Thrower. Her paternal grandparents were Bryant A. Spradley and Frances Payne. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James J., William, Jefferson Davis, Samuel Thomas, Mary Elizabeth M., Alabama Hawkins and Frances Malinda. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died after 1920 in Crenshaw Co., AL.1 General Notes

In the Confederate widow's pension application file at ADAH are
applications by Mrs. Jane WILSON for a pension based on the service of
her husband Caleb Napoleon WILSON , who she said served in Co G of the
60th Reg't, Infantry. According to these papers, Jane WILSON was born 15
Dec 1849 in Montgomery Co., AL, da. of Samuel SPRADLEY who died near the
present site of Petrey (Crenshaw Co.) AL in 1875. She married Caleb
WILSON in Covington Co. (no date given) and he died in Crenshaw Co. in
February 1885. P. J. THROWER and J. W. ATHEY both swore in July 1905 that
they were personally acquainted with Caleb WILSON. Jane was on the
Crenshaw Co. pension roll for a while, but was stricken in 1914 for lack
of a military record on Caleb.
