Willie Lee was born on August 16th, 1898 in Coffee Co., AL.1 Willie Lee's father was Joseph Thomas Rushing and his mother was Hulda Rebecca Melvina Josephine Floyd. His paternal grandparents were Mathew M. (Mack) Rushing and Sarah Jane Amerson; his maternal grandparents were Calvin Floyd and Hulda Adkison. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Mathew Calvin, Charlie D., Frank Jefferson, Dan, Curtis Kirkland, Ida Elizabeth, Annie S., Lula Leola, Minnie and Nora Rebecca Lena Bell.
