Lula Leola was born on March 28th, 1895 in ?.1 Lula Leola's father was Joseph Thomas Rushing and her mother was Hulda Rebecca Melvina Josephine Floyd. Her paternal grandparents were Mathew M. (Mack) Rushing and Sarah Jane Amerson; her maternal grandparents were Calvin Floyd and Hulda Adkison. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Mathew Calvin, Willie Lee, Charlie D., Frank Jefferson, Dan, Curtis Kirkland, Ida Elizabeth, Annie S., Minnie and Nora Rebecca Lena Bell. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 88 on April 18th, 1983 in FL. She was buried in Red Bay Cemetery, Red Bay, Walton Co., FL.1 1 General Notes
