Leroy Rushing 
Leroy was born on October 5th, 1923 in FL.1 Leroy's father was Baron DeKalb Washington Rushing and his mother was Mary E. McMillian. His paternal grandparents were Mathew Malachi Rushing and Martha E. Ham. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John Thomas Edmous, Franklin Jerome, Bessie Mae, Annie Beatrice, Edith and Mary E.. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had five half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Charlie M., Baron DeKalb Washington, Jr., Andrew Jackson, William Wesley, Phillip Jefferson, Etta, Laura S., Carrie Bell and Cora Lee.-
