Laura Ann was born on September 17th, 1824 in Lowndesboro, Lowndes Co., AL.1 Laura Ann's father was Dixon Hall Lewis and her mother was Susan Elizabeth Elmore. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Lewis and Mary Dixon Hall; her maternal grandparents were John Archer Elmore and Nancy Ann Martin. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Frances Maxey, John Archer, Dixon Hall II, William Henry, Mary Susan and Sally Terry Fitzpatrick. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 57 on July 20th, 1882 in Galveston, TX.1 -
