John A. Elmore, of Montgomery, William Elmore formerly Attorney Gen. Of
La., and Hon. Rush Elmore recently Associate Judge of Kansas, and
mother-in-law of Hon. Ben Fitzpatrick." (1)

There is a question on the dates: She would have been 47 when Sarah was

wife of John Archer Elmore, 1762-1834, in 1821 member of Ala legislature
daughter of John Martin, who fought through the Revolution as did his
seven brothers; her mother was (Sarah) Elizabeth Terry, daughter of
Nathaniel Terry (Lewis family) have copy of her will - signed Ann Elmore
- State of Alabama, Autauga County - dated & signed 8 Oct 1855 Ann Martin
(my mother) born August 7, [1786]. The above (J. A. Elmore) were married
19th of March 1805 - signed - M. M. Scott
