John Archer Lewis 
John Archer was born on November 3rd, 1829 in Lowndesboro, Lowndes Co., AL.1 John Archer's father was Dixon Hall Lewis and his mother was Susan Elizabeth Elmore. His paternal grandparents were Francis Lewis and Mary Dixon Hall; his maternal grandparents were John Archer Elmore and Nancy Ann Martin. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Frances Maxey, Dixon Hall II, William Henry, Laura Ann, Mary Susan and Sally Terry Fitzpatrick. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 20 on January 25th, 1850 in Lowndes Co., AL. He was buried in Francis Lewis Family Cemetery, Lowndesboro, Lowndes Co., AL.
