William Henry Lewis 
William Henry was born on November 26th, 1835 in Lowndesboro, Lowndes Co., AL.1 William Henry's father was Dixon Hall Lewis and his mother was Susan Elizabeth Elmore. His paternal grandparents were Francis Lewis and Mary Dixon Hall; his maternal grandparents were John Archer Elmore and Nancy Ann Martin. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Frances Maxey, John Archer, Dixon Hall II, Laura Ann, Mary Susan and Sally Terry Fitzpatrick. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 28 on May 7th, 1864 in Battle of the Wilderness, Spotsylvania Co., VA.1 -
