Martha Mabel was born on August 23rd, 1918 in Rockford, Coosa Co., AL.1 Martha Mabel's father was Evie Davis, Sr. Bridges and her mother was Emma Catherine Miller. Her paternal grandparents were Alvin Lafayette Bridges and Mary Virginia Wilson; her maternal grandparents were James Alexander Miller and Emma Jane McEwen. She had a brother and two sisters, named Evie Davis, Jr., Mary Ruth and Living. She died at the age of 74 on March 23rd, 1993 in Walton Co., FL. She was buried in Antioch Baptist Church, 1265 Old Stage Rd., Greenville, AL.1 1 General Notes

Mabel ran in the Democratic Primary of 1974 for the State Representative
position of Alabama, 84th District of Butler and Crenshaw Counties. She
ran a strong race but did not win.
Mabel was an adventurous person. She visited many different people as
well as kin. She once traveled abroad on an educational tour to Columbia,
South America.
