Henry OF BRABANT was born in 1035. Henry OF BRABANT's father was Count/ Lambert I DE LOUVAIN II "The Belted" and his mother was Ode DE LORRAINE. His paternal grandparents were Count Lambert I "The Bearded" Of Lens OF BRABANT & LOUVAIN and Gerberge OF LOWER LORRAINE OF BRABANT; his maternal grandparents were Gonzelon I "The Grand" OF LOWER LORRAINE and Urraca OF ITALY. He was an only child. He died at the age of 43 in 1078.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
