Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
‌Louis IV "Transmarinus" and Gerberge were married in a religious ceremony in 0939. They had a son and a daughter, named Charles of Upper Lorraine and Matilde.
