Ruth Cox 
Ruth was born on May 26th, 1755 in Cane Creek,Orange,N.C..1 Ruth's father was Benjamin Cox and her mother was Martha Garretson. Her paternal grandparents were John II Cox and Hannah Jenkins; her maternal grandparents were Casparius Garretson and Ann Cox. She had seven brothers and a sister, named Benjamin , Jr., Simon, John, Thomas, Joseph, William, Jeremiah and Amy "Naomi". She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 71 on September 28th, 1826 in Randolph Co. North Carolina.General Notes
