John de Warenne was born in August 1231 in of Warren, Sussex, England.1 John de Warenne's father was William Plantagenet Earl of Warren & Surrey and his mother was Maud Marshal. His paternal grandparents were Hamelin Plantagenet de Anjou Earl of Surrey and Isabel de Warenne; his maternal grandparents were Sir William Marshal Earl of Pembroke and Isabel de Clare Cts de Strigoil. He had a half-sister named Isabel. He died at the age of 74 on September 27th, 1305 in Kennington, Surrey, England. He was buried in Acceded: 1240. 6th/7th Earl of Surrey.
