Laurie Jasper was born on July 8th, 1887 in Colleton Cnty, SC.1 Laurie Jasper's father was James Medicus Benton and his mother was Annie Elizabeth Bishop. His paternal grandparents were Edward H. Benton and Martha Ann Elizabeth Varn. He had six brothers and four sisters, named David Benjamin, Kelly Lee, James McDuffie, George Talbert, Richard Brantley, Edward Heyward, Janie, Beulah May, D. Effie and Infant. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 77 on September 7th, 1964 in Williams, SC.1 -
