Janie Benton 
Janie was born on August 30th, 1883.1 Janie's father was James Medicus Benton and her mother was Annie Elizabeth Bishop. Her paternal grandparents were Edward H. Benton and Martha Ann Elizabeth Varn. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named David Benjamin, Kelly Lee, Laurie Jasper, James McDuffie, George Talbert, Richard Brantley, Edward Heyward, Beulah May, D. Effie and Infant. She was the second oldest of the eleven children.1 -
